Bea from Queens University came to our class to do a STEM workshop. Our theme was 'Bridges'. She used Knex to demonstrate strong structures when building and then it was our turn to build. We used different approaches to constructing the bridges and it involved a lot of thinking and discussion. Once we managed the basic shape, we tried to extend the bridge and add height too. We were using so many skills like problem solving, working together, estimating, listening and compromising.
