St. Paul's Primary School, Cabra, Newry

☘️Lá Glas☘️

13th Mar 2026
Here are some snippets from our wonderful St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Cabra today. It certainly was a green day! 💚 Pupils and staff alike embraced the spirit of the day by dressing in green and celebrating all things Irish.
There was so much talent on display through poetry, music and dance. Our P5 and P6 pupils performed The Waves of Tory, while P7 learned and proudly sang our national anthem as Gaeilge.
Our P1 and P2 pupils delighted everyone with I’m a Little Leprechaun, and P3 and P4 performed the poem Bogha Báistí and sang Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes as Gaeilge.
We also had the pleasure of listening to Grace, Rowan, Lana, Issy, Ellen and Clara, who entertained us beautifully by singing and playing a variety of instruments. 🎶
Of course, Green Day wouldn’t be complete without some Irish dancing! ☘️Fiadh wasn’t the only dancer this year😉
Well done to all our pupils and staff for making it such a joyful and memorable day!
