Introducing 'Eco-Ted' to St. Paul's ♻️ 🧸
We are delighted to introduce to you, our new addition to St. Paul's (the temporarily named) 'Eco-Ted.'
Eco-Ted came about as a result of our old Eco flag ending up in a nearby field with the cows, during storm Ashley back in September!
The children were asked if they had any ideas as to how we could possibly reuse or recycle our old flag. (We are the first school EVER to recycle our own flag, by the way!)
There were excellent suggestions put forward but the final idea, which came from Ciaran Gribben P6, and his mum Lisa was to make a St. Paul's P.S. lucky mascot, in the form of this little cutie.
Other items from St. Paul's were also used: an old half zip, a pair of kit socks (with holes in them!) a jumper and an old P1 school-bag.
Our little guy/or girl, now needs a name! We need YOUR help to think of a really fitting one.
Eco-Ted is 32cm tall & wide. He is very cuddly and is made up of beautiful shades of blue, yellow and green to represent our school. He/she has a glint in their eye, and is sure to bring us lots of luck in any future endeavours. 🧸 😃
We are looking forward to hearing your ideas and the Eco team will pick their favourite name which will be announced on Friday the 7th February.
A huge go raibh míle maith agat to Lisa Gribben and family for all their help with this project and for sponsoring the teddy. It is very much appreciated.♻️ 🧸 ♻️ 💙 💛
