The P6/7’s attended a workshop in Carcullion House, Hilltown today, exploring the culture and way of life for the Travelling Community. They learnt about barrel top wagons, beady pocket aprons, paper flower making and more. They even got to sample traditional Irish traveller soda bread.
The ladies involved in the project were very impressed with the questions our boys and girls presented and how attentive they were throughout. Many thanks to Martina Byrne for inviting us to attend.
