Fiona Payne From the NI Assembly Visit
14th Jan 2026
We had a very interesting visit from Education Officer for the NI Assembly- Fiona Payne today. The P5-7 classes got the opportunity to hear about democracy and decision making where we live. The children contributed wonderful ideas to the class discussion and when asked which issues they would like to see tackled in Stormont, the responses were: the cost of living crisis, potholes, racism, pollution, child safety, being a responsible dog owner as well as the very serious issue of less chocolates in the Quality Street tins! Fiona was very impressed with their knowledge, listening skills and maturity. ππΌπ£οΈβ
